How do I get there?

Most folks who frequent the island come in from NYC. If you’re NOT driving or taking a car service you’ll want to take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station. See train schedules HERE.

(If you ARE driving set your GPS to 41 River Rd, Sayville, NY 11782)

You’ll get off the LIRR at Sayville (most train schedules have a transfer at either Jamaica or Babylon so be sure to double check) where a shuttle bus will be waiting for passengers getting off the train headed toward the Sayville Ferry Terminal. See the ferry schedule HERE.
The shuttle service takes about 10 minutes from train to ferry and is $5 CASH so be sure to have that handy.

The shuttle will drop you and all passengers off at the Sayville Ferry Terminal where you’ll purchase a ticket to Fire Island Pines.
The ferry takes approx. 20 minutes and the fee is $18 round trip (be sure not to misplace your return ticket) and is payable via cash or via credit card from their main office.

Once you’re off the ferry you’ll hang a right onto Fire Island Blvd., walk past the business complex and continue west until you reach Tuna Walk where you’ll take a right. From there you’ll take a left onto Shore Walk until you reach the house at 623 Shore Walk on your left.
